ABOUT HOUSEMAN & ASSOCIATES. Houseman & Associates is a training and consulting firm based in Dumfries, Virginia. Since 1981, we have provided acquisition classes, self-study programs and consulting services throughout the federal government, to major support services contractors, as well as to the Smithsonian Institution under a five year contract for acquisition training. We are dedicated to delivering current and interactive training to our clients.

COURSE FORMAT. All courses are offered on an agency special basis. These are off-the-shelf courses delivered on-site at the agency’s facilities rather than at facilities furnished by Houseman & Associates. Our COR/COTR Refresher, Simplified Acquisition Refresher, and Small Purchase Descriptions courses are also offered on a Self-Study (correspondence) basis. Finally, our COR/COTR Refresher course is also offered online.

GSA SCHEDULE CONTRACT. Houseman & Associates is a GSA Schedule contractor (GS-02F-0188N) All courses listed in this catalog may be ordered under this GSA contract using the Government wide purchase card, agency training authorization, third party draft or check, or written delivery order.

GSA Pricing for Agency Specials: GSA prices reflect a 40.25% discount from list prices. The GSA Schedule prices include minor modifications to course materials to include sample agency specific documents and forms. Houseman & Associates will provide course development to adapt our off-the-shelf courses to specific agency needs and interests. The price for such adaptations is dependent upon the scope of such adaptations.

Course Related Support Services: Course related support services include development of course materials, review of agency purchasing policies and practices, purchasing audits, assessment of FAC-COTR implementation and related agency COR/COTR policies and practices, and development and/or review of performance-based contracting practices and documents. Hourly Rate: List $265; GSA Rate $267. Special Discount: $213 (>39 hours are purchased under a single order).

CERTIFICATION.All courses are designed to meet agency and FAI certification requirements for COR/COTRs and Simplified Acquisition Personnel.
