Task Order Contracting for CORs (2 Days)

Course Perspective: This course looks to improving the placement and administration of task orders against indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts through training CORs and other program personnel (points of contact/POCs) responsible for generating work requirements, processing task requests, and assisting in task order placement.


Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:


  • Cite basic properties and advantages of IDIQ contracts.

  • Identify IDIQ contracts available for task placement for their requirements.

  • Recognize differing rules and procedures in accessing and using IDIQ contracts available under Federal Supply Schedules, Government-wide acquisition contracts, and multi-agency contracts.

  • Identify the role and responsibilities of members of the Task Team.

  • Develop a complete task request package including a task work statement, independent Government cost estimate, source selection criteria, and proposal preparation instructions.

  • Select an appropriate pricing arrangement.

  • Recognize and apply different task placement procedures under the fair opportunity to compete rule.

  • Conduct exchanges with offerors.

  • Recommend task order placement.


Hours: 16 hours/CLPs are credited for completion of this course. Classroom hours are 8:30 – 4:30.
